    John Bryant has had over 40 years experience in the oil and gas and energy sectors covering operations in North America, the UK and Europe, Middle and Far East, Africa and Australia.  He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Victoria Oil & Gas, a Cameroon based business.  He has significant African experience from operations in Egypt, Kenya and South Africa.  He was for a number of years a Director of Copperbelt Energy Corporation, supplying electricity to the whole Zambian mining sector.

    Craig Thomas is an Australian mining engineer with over 25 years of experience, including key leadership roles up to General Manager level in the development and operation of mines in Africa, Papua New Guinea and Australia, with companies including Lihir Gold, IamGold, Placer Dome, Western Metals and Mt Isa Mines.  Prior to taking the position of Chief Executive Officer he held the positions of Chief Operating Officer for Weatherly based in Namibia and Managing Director of the Namibian subsidiaries for 5 years.

    Alan Stephens joined Weatherly in July 2008 and is a geologist with over 40 years of experience in the mining industry.  He is currently Executive Director of Coro Mining Corp, a TSX quoted, Chile focused, mining company with growing copper production and an advanced copper development project.  Before founding Coro, he was VP Exploration of First Quantum Minerals from 2000 to 2005 and led their successful exploration programs in Zambia, the DRC and Mauritania. Alan has lived and worked in Africa, Europe, and North & South America.

    Kevin Ellis is Weatherly’s Chief Financial Officer based in our UK Head Office. He is an English Chartered Accountant and also has a first class degree from London University.

    Kevin Ellis has lengthy experience in Senior Financial Positions across a number of industries including Mining, Consumer Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals and Public Practise. He worked in Namibia for 5 years including a year as Financial Controller of Weatherly’s Namibia Operations, giving him a strong understanding of both Namibian and UK financial and tax regulations.

  • Mike Stuart

    Business Development Manager

    Mike Stuart is a geologist with over 20 years experience, who led the drill out and production startup of Kansanshi and Guelb Moghrein copper mines for First Quantum as Chief Geologist, led the PFS for Berg-Aukas zinc-lead project, managed the Namibian end of the Tschudi study and then built the mining team at Tschudi and ran the mining operation and contract for the first 18 months as Mining Manager. He has also worked around Africa in exploration (Zambia, Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Namibia), and worked for three years as a sell-side mining analyst in the City.
