  • Rod Webster
    Chairman

    Rod Webster is a graduate mining engineer from the University of Sydney. He has over 40years experience in the resources industry, including 20 years in managing director or chief executive officer positions.

    Prior to founding Weatherly, he was with First Quantum Minerals (CEO Kansanshi Mining), Western Metals (CEO & founder), Homestake Gold of Australia and BHP Minerals.

    Rod Webster is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has been a member of the Executive Committees of both the Australian Minerals Council and the International Zinc Association, and a non-executive director of numerous companies.

  • Craig Thomas
    Chief Executive Officer

    Craig Thomas is an Australian mining engineer with over 25 years of experience, including key leadership roles up to General Manager level in the development and operation of mines in Africa, Papua New Guinea and Australia, with companies including Lihir Gold, IamGold, Placer Dome, Western Metals and Mt Isa Mines.  Prior to taking the position of Chief Executive Officer he held the positions of Chief Operating Officer for Weatherly based in Namibia and Managing Director of the Namibian subsidiaries for 5 years.

  • Kevin Ellis
    Director

    Kevin Ellis is Weatherly’s Chief Financial Officer based in our London Head Office. He is an English Chartered Accountant and also has a first class degree from London University.

    Kevin Ellis has lengthy experience in Senior Financial Positions across a number of industries including Mining, Consumer Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals and Public Practise. He worked in Namibia for 5 years including a year as Financial Controller of Weatherly’s Namibia Operations, giving him a strong understanding of both Namibian and UK financial and tax regulations.

  • Andrew Thomson
    Technical Director

    Andrew Thomson is a Namibian geologist, studied at the University of Natal, South Africa. Mr Thomson has worked in various senior roles from Chief Geologist, General Manager of the Otjihase mine, Technical Director and Country Manager.

  • Cleophas Mutjavikua
    Senior Non-Executive Director

    Cleophas Mutjavikua brings a wealth of experience to the Weatherly Board in Namibia. He coveried a number of  relevant roles. He was General Secretary of the Mineworkers Union in Namibia, in charge of Industrial Relations for the City of Windhoek and is now Regional Governor for the Erongo Region in Namibia. He has held a number of board roles including The Roads Construction Company in Namibia, the Meat Board in Namibia, Labor Investors Holdings, MOBIPAY, Namibia Customer Smelters, Sanlam investment management, and Prime Health Namibia.

  • Titus Haimbili
    Non-Executive Director

    Titus Haimbili has more than 28 years of experience in both the private and public sector in Senior Executive  roles; General Manager, Chief Executive and Chairman of the Board.  He was most recently employed as the Chief  Executive Officer of TransNamib, the Namibian para-statal Rail service provider and is currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in Business Management at the International University of Management (IUM), Namibia. He received a Masters of Business Administration at University of Maastricht, Netherlands and is currently studying a Doctorate of Business Administration at the University of Namibia.

  • Frans J P Ndoroma
    Non-Executive Director

    Frans Ndoroma is Managing Director of Telecom Namibia Limited as of 1 November 2002, he was simultaneously Chief Executive Officer of Namibia Post & Telecom Holdings Limited (NPTH), the company under which Telecom Namibia, NamPost and Mobile Telecoms (MTC) reside.  Frans is a metallurgical graduate  with over 21 years with NAMDEB, and Manager of the Orange River Mines  also Assistant General Manager of NAMDEB. He is a director on several boards Neotel, and De Beers Marine Namibia.

  • Peter Christians
    Tschudi General Manager

    Peter is a Namibian mining engineer with over 30 years of international mining experience. Peter has held senior management positions across the globe in Namibia, Tanzania, Russia, Mali, Ghana, Australia and the USA with companies including Rio Tinto, AngloGold Ashanti, Bannerman Resources, Uranium One, ARMZ and Goldfields. Peter is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and has served as a representative to the Chamber of Mines of Namibia. He holds a BSc in Mining Engineering from Queens University in Canada. His most recent role was Country Manager & Managing Director for Reptile Uranium Namibia, a subsidiary of ASX-listed Deep Yellow Limited.
